spoke to few garages and they said have heard that on quite a few cars
as its running i have just left it tbh,

the solution is to buy a padlock and lock your bonnet with that...

on a serious note though, are you sure its not being evapotated during combustion through the head gasket?, you could have a water leak from a pipe that only leaks when the coolant systems under pressure (ie when driving) when parked it might not drip so you wouldnt notice it, look for any white/blue crystals around pipes

I agree, the top solution is quite well known here in the south.
Is the header tank cap air tight?
