#1: Diesel won't start/vapour locks Author: Tomcat, Location: HertsPosted: Mon Mar 01, 2010 7:35 am ---- A few handy hints for anyone who has this problem, which is not uncommon apparently. Car starts and runs fine from warm but leave it overnight and it won't start as all the fuel has gone from the clear fuel lines on top of the engine. It can be re-primed with the rubber squeezy bulb but the next morning the problem returns.
The problem is air leaks in the LP fuel delivery pipes. For some reason air can get in but fuel doesn't get out. I'd recommend using a Peugeot dealer to fix it as there are several pipes back there and it's difficult access. Yu want somebody who knows which pipes to change.
The cure shouldn't cost more than £140 including labour, but it may vary depending on which pipes are faulty.
