That wiring is normal.

This is what my plug looked like...the wiring is twisted through the shielded sleeving.

dam thats clean, what is the that ontop of the thermostat housing? thats not standard isit? if it is i don't have 1 lol

It's a horrible coolant temp sensor for the Omex ECU. It sits in the hole that the bleed screw will be on yours. It's getting changed in a couple of weeks when my Samco hoses arrive (at last).

It sounds like your just slowly rebuilding the car from new parts & crossing your fingers one of these parts is gonna fix it.

your about right on that 1, soon i will get an engine, and a ecu / wireing

Multiplexed 206's use it.

The wires twisted like that look like typical CAN twisted pair wiring.

Take it to a garage with either Pug Planet, Multi Di@g or Bosch KTS or something similar.

Not the w**ky generic EOBD readers

im going to book it in for ecu firmware updates next week its only £40 so will ask about diagnotics but don't want to spend loads at a dealer as i feel violated going to a dealer lol
