Author: robdob, Location: oxfordPosted: Sat Mar 26, 2011 9:30 am ---- basically i got some new h7 headlights as replacements for my h4 headlights. i bought a h4 to h7 adapter setup, including a relay and a 20amp fuse. basically my problem is when i flick on the high beam everythings alright. but when i flick them off it blows fuses 31 and 32 which are for low beam... any ideas people? need help asap please

Remove the relay in it, and see if the fuses blow still

#4: Re: electrical expertise needed! Author: Lee, Location: EnglandPosted: Sat Mar 26, 2011 11:00 am ---- It means you've wired the relay up wrong

MOT failure if its not working
You dont need adaptors with a relay to go from H4 to H7 on a 206 anymore, that problem is solved much easier
#9: Re: electrical expertise needed! Author: robdob, Location: oxfordPosted: Sat Mar 26, 2011 2:09 pm ---- Mot is next year now so not fussed

Until you drive down an unlit country road & go for main beam
total waste of timing fitting crystals if you cant be bothered to wire them up correctly

#12: Re: electrical expertise needed! Author: Seabook, Posted: Sat Mar 26, 2011 4:56 pm ---- can you not just fit the new light stalk?

#16: Re: electrical expertise needed! Author: robdob, Location: oxfordPosted: Sat Mar 26, 2011 5:47 pm ---- wouldnt it be easier to number the wires and try them in each slot til it works...?
#17: Re: electrical expertise needed! Author: NorthantsBen, Location: Raunds, NorthamptonshirePosted: Sat Mar 26, 2011 6:06 pm ---- You could test the cables, you should have and earth, positive to batt, trigger wire from full beam (live when full beam on) and cable to dipped (live when dipped is on)
Once you have worked out the cables, number them 1 to 4 and post what they do on Here and me or Someone will tell you what cable number to connect to what on relay,
That's one option,
