They were replaced in the MOT about 5 weeks ago, he did mention something being worn on the area im speaking of, but he said it should last a good 4 months Rolling Eyes

because the wheel bearing is inside the drum so the noise could still be the wheel bearing Laughing
I'll be taking it to the garage on monday for an inspection and quote, hopefully it wont be too much Embarassed is it safe to drive until its repaired? thats if it is the bearing thats worn/gone.

Which is classified as a rear axle

If it had a beam, it would have arms

Beam + arms = Axle

hi, i've got 1.4 quicksiliver and they said its my rear axle? .. im confused because you said there wasn't any on a 1.4..........help!

It's a bush in the end of the rear axle/beam/arms, they can be replaced but i believe they have to be pressed in, different car i know before you all shout but had this problem on a 106. finished up putting complete second hand axle on.

deffo axle. i got pulled over by another pug owner cuz of they seen the wheel shake when i was driving. went to mechanic next day. new axle. £700 quid for axle, labour and new rear brake lines (they were corroded anyway)
