#1: Shakey wheel Author: brimbo, Location: South ShieldsPosted: Sat Mar 26, 2011 2:42 pm ---- I've just had a friend behind me tell me that my rear drivers side wheel wabbles slightly when i go over pot holes/speed bumps.
I've just jacked it up and the wheel wabbles like hell! when I spin it there's a slight rattling sound, I sourced it down to something next to the bushel, I was told it could be the whole arm, can anyone give me a helping hand on this?
#2: Re: Shakey wheel Author: leigh_boy, Location: EastbournePosted: Sat Mar 26, 2011 2:44 pm ---- front or rear?
wheel nuts tight?

#3: Re: Shakey wheel Author: Seabook, Posted: Sat Mar 26, 2011 2:44 pm ---- could be wheel bearing or even axle bearing
#4: Re: Shakey wheel Author: ExoVyper, Location: Waiting for the tugboats to push me into port (Whitehaven)Posted: Sat Mar 26, 2011 2:46 pm ---- i'd go for the wheel baring first as it's common and the cheapest ^_^
#5: Re: Shakey wheel Author: brimbo, Location: South ShieldsPosted: Sat Mar 26, 2011 2:46 pm ---- rear, checked all my nuts and there firm in there. It's definatly not the bearing, if its any help, its right next to a very small spring!

They were replaced in the MOT about 5 weeks ago, he did mention something being worn on the area im speaking of, but he said it should last a good 4 months

If it doesnt have a rear axle what does it have then?
Worst case, get a new axle as its cheaper for a garage to do
But bearings cost roughly £70 or so

because the wheel bearing is inside the drum so the noise could still be the wheel bearing
