#1: Problems After BSI Replacement Author: Punky, Location: ChesirePosted: Tue Mar 29, 2011 9:56 am ---- I've just had my BSI unit replaced as it was faulty and the windscreen wipers had stopped working.
Since it's been replaced I've noticed a couple of things aren't working right and wondered how I go about restting them or if they are correct.
1 - The oil temp gauge no longer works and I've been told that it's a fault with the sensor, but I'm sure it worked before the BSI was replaced.
2 - When you have the headlights on and turn the main beam on, the headlights go off. The car has seperate bulds for the two.
3 - I was getting an auto lighting fault when you turned the car on, this wasn't there before. The guy who swapped the BSI has disabled the sensor so I no longer get the error, but it also means the auto rain sensor doesn't work either.
Anyone any ideas on what the faults could be or if it's just a setting in the BSI then what setting.
I've got a 53 plate 206 HDi.
Cheers for any help.

Sounds like a right bodge up
#3: Re: Problems After BSI Replacement Author: Punky, Location: ChesirePosted: Tue Mar 29, 2011 3:34 pm ---- Yeah I think it was a second hand one. Guy said he had years experience with them. Seemed to know what he was doing, but as you probed a little deeper into some of the things he said I'm not too sure.

#6: Re: Problems After BSI Replacement Author: Lee, Location: EnglandPosted: Wed Mar 30, 2011 3:57 am ---- Probably have to go to Peugeot unless there's a auto-electrician that can do it.
I'd take it back to the guy.
It would cost about £65 for me to come and do it.

I know money may be tight though after already paying for the replacement unit.
