thought so , i been offerd a 2.0l 8v turboed charged engine from a 206 and i said it cant be a gti engine

Keep it standard,nothing but problems will occur,if you want it faster, go for the 180, if you want a turbo then upgrade your car to a subz or evo

They where total s**te when new & also being an XU some parts are no longer stocked by Peugeot.

You can make it a fairly good engine, but it isn't necessarily good out of the box.

Just because peugeot stopped making accessory parts for XU does not mean you cannot get them elsewhere, and besides XU's were used until 2001 so you can still get plenty of parts.

Should have just said, "I've been offered a 8v 2.0litre Turbo petrol engine from a Peugeot, anyone know which car it's from and if its good?"
