If it is the immobiliser shouldn't the display read immobiliser fault

The display's a bit dodgey and doesnt work.

My guess is that 2 pin connector goes to the crankshaft sensor.
If the ECU doesn't see this signal, it wont send thee firing signals to the Spark plugs or the injectors.

The sensor is close to the oil filter and sometimes wont give out fault codes if its defective/not plugged in.

Would this stop the fuel pump from priming as well?

if the fuel pump is not priming there is a relay that controlls lots of different things big black 1 under the ecu its about £40 for pug or u could get 1 from a breakers and will probabbly fix the fault.

i bought 1 about 2 years ago now becuae mine packed up and im sure i paid about 35 / 40 from pug, then again might be talking about something different.

I know they only run with the engine running, I mean the whole control unit has gone dead so you cant adjust it. Im asking if its that big relay that controls that as well?
