#1: ABS light Author: MutilateTheDead, Location: DerbyPosted: Thu Apr 07, 2011 3:40 pm ---- Had new drive shaft fitted as my reluctor ring (i think they're called) broke off and ABS light is still on! Checked under the car to see if all is well with the ring to find the other side is also broken off sooooooooo i'm booked in tomorow to get the other driveshaft fited, will the ABS light go out by itself or will i need to get it reset? As it is at the minute the ABS light is constantly on, it never goes off even before pulling away just after turning the car on, im hoping there is nothing else wrong with the ABS and the driveshaft will sort it, what ya reckon?

The light WILL stay on even after getting new driveshafts? I need it to go through MOT!

Why get both driveshafts replaced? Why not just replace the reluctor rings

Tell me about it, didn't even know this was possible haha, never mind drive shaft fittings only costing £20 on side
Plus the driveshafts?
Both rings can be bought for less than £30.00 and be fitted in less than 2 hours, all going well.
Knowing my luck with this car my driveshaft would go soon anyway haha, fingers crossed light goes out! I had it plugged in to diagnostics about 3 weeks ago and it didn't pick up a fault then, even though the light was on, so i'm sure it's just the rings!
