Just stick a normal K&N panel filter in there.

i got a kit mate comes with the tubing and bends etc. sits up in the wheel arch liner on the gti.
think its was a k&n typoon, cheaper versions about though mate.

failing that just get a k&n panel filter for your current box. not as good but better than standard

foam filter is the worse choices, it will simply break into piece over time.

Sparco have just developed an insane one!! Universal but it's an awesome pei e of kit pluss no matter what anyone says the Bmc cda and pipercross viper are universal lol

im sorry but how is the pipercross viper universal when you have to tell them the specific car model and make it is going on? there maybe is a universal model but i wouldnt of thought the ones you specify make and model would be Confused

thats just what i thought though, although i thought the venom was basically meant to be a universal version of the viper

oh well you learn something new everyday.......

and what makes the sparco one so special i aint seen or heard nothing about it yet?

well yeah because the size of the pipes vary from car to car but if u put two together made for similar power cars there going to be identical all pipercross will do is have different fitments made up and they probably have various different size ones for different power cars.....

there's nothing special about the Sparco one but Sparco are trying to break into the tuning world, i.e wheels brakes, induction kits as well as all there other little Halfords stick on things and have been developing there own induction kit....it looks very nice.... il tell you how i get on when i get mine Very Happy cant hurt if the cold air feed is set up right..... and its got to be better than the little piece of foam that pipercross sold me

fair one you may be right there but im sure that by what you say it means they are still not really universal are they Wink

as for the sparco one i just took your first thread as it being something special as you exclaimed it was "insane" Laughing

cant say id be too interested in a sparco atm im rather happy with my pipercross viper it works beautifully with a good feed going to it Smile

also sparco trying to break into the tuning world doesnt interest me much in most cases companys only do certain parts for reasons cause thats what there good at so i wont be holding high hopes for anything special by them but thats just my two pence worth

also on another note i wouldnt go for a k&n, dont like the look of all that metal piping my cold air is going to be going up seen as though that metal will get hot in the engine bay and its more just a filter on some piping than induction Confused induction i thought was an enclosed filter in a housing with piping leading to a cold air ram

whats wrong with your pipercross anyway kingdom?

is it the viper you got cause i aint had a problem or do you mean its not putting out enough power or something?

No it's just the normal filter no cold air feed, at the time I bought it for noise but I can't imaggine many gains from the 180 engine with any kit lol
