#1: Cheap cone filters. Author: Necro, Location: BedfordshirePosted: Sat Apr 09, 2011 10:41 am ---- Okies, I know alot of ppls are against these but anyways...
What is with some cheap cone filters and their standard tone?
I have had two different cheap ones on my GTi 138 and neither of them have made any difference, noise wise to the standard airbox and Halfrauds panel filter.
Just put this on my car today, its only temporary and doesn't seem to be picking up any heat soak which is a bonus.
I'm just curious as to why some don't make any extra noise and some do.

Pointless wasting money on cheap crap.
Save up & buy decent first time
Buy cheap = buy twice.

Connected it up with the hose I have at the mo to test the sound and it was beastly. Hoping it's not too chavvy once it's on
