Pop the light out with a screwdriver by prising it out on the end that doesn't have any switches, unplug the light
Remove the plastic surround by removing the screws and take this out
Remove the metal cover from the aerial underside and then remove the bolt. The aerial will come off from outside.
Monitor the area for a while after doing this because once disturbed they tend to leak. I've found that silicone sealant fixes this.

Aerial base should really always be siliconed sealed for added piece of mind.
PSA Peugeot / Citroen have suffered leaking roof aerial seals for 20+ years that I know of

,but I don't think it needs silicone sealant,because he says that he bought a new one,but if he means a new one (used),then he should monitor it as you said
