#1: seat going back while driving Author: orangeGTI, Location: whitbyPosted: Mon Apr 11, 2011 11:37 am ---- i had a quick search but couldnt come up with anything. when driving along the drivers seat flies back now and again and its realy quite dangerous. our lass is only short and when it goes back she cant reach the pedals.
does anyone know how i can sort this problem?

Agreed that this problem also happens to mine.
Only way I've cured it is to push the seat at the top towards the front of the car after pushing it back all the way.
You should hear another click.
Shuffling the car back and forth at seat level sometimes does not cure this.

Dangerous.
I only let people in and out through the passenger side after that.
Funny thing is the LX's never did it. the GTI does tho!

I've got an LX and it's happened to me, was scary as f**k when it first happened I thought my seat had broke and froze for a few seconds, kept thinking it must have been my car but reading this thread shows its not just me
