#80: Re: Harry's XSI - Pic Heavy Author: Harry, Location: StaffordPosted: Wed Jun 06, 2012 4:13 am ---- Thanks but it's all gone now
Bought some vortexes, was going to get them powder coated but the night before realized it was a mistake.
Here's a peak at what's to come, you can probably guess who's and what they are
#81: Re: Harry's XSI - Pic Heavy Author: Harry, Location: StaffordPosted: Wed Jul 04, 2012 12:44 pm ---- Aux belt had started squeaking so I got a new one, also replaced the pollen filter old one has seen better days.
Could never got the lower torsion bar out, until I got an old anti roll bar and an axle stand to prop it up. A few dozen hits and it got completely smashed out
Had some janspeed coilovers with no collars so I swapped them off my FK ones and fitted them. Hoped the ride would be better but they feel just as s**t to be honest
Played around with loads of spacers for the new wheels, aimed for 20mm but even 15mm rubbed. Didn't want stupid stretch as I actually wanted it to be a decent daily driver. Ended up getting some brand new eibach pro spacers off ebay for £30 instead of the rrp £85 - was quite a steal
End result after a clean

Bought them off Ruffy a month ago, but due to being on holiday only been able to get them set up correctly this week
#85: Re: Harry's XSI - Pic Heavy Author: 00budham00, Location: IpsPosted: Wed Jul 04, 2012 2:48 pm ---- more stretch more poke other than that i like it
#86: Re: Harry's XSI - Pic Heavy Author: Harry, Location: StaffordPosted: Wed Jul 04, 2012 2:50 pm ---- With those tyres that is literally as much as it can get on the rear, 5mm more and it rubs like mad
Being 16" 7.5J I could have dropped from 45 to 40 profile giving it a tiny bit more stretch, but after that the next size down is 165 which is just far too much for me like I said I actually want it to be drivable
185 or even 175 at a push would have been perfect but sadly non exist
#87: Re: Harry's XSI - Pic Heavy Author: spike_202, Location: West midsPosted: Wed Jul 04, 2012 3:36 pm ---- Looks sooo much better now Harry they realy suit it.
#88: Re: Harry's XSI - Pic Heavy Author: Slowride, Location: Netherlands/near RotterdamPosted: Thu Jul 05, 2012 3:32 am ---- I really like it, your tire choice keeps it drivable. 165 looks great but it would cost you a set of wheels each year.
#89: Re: Harry's XSI - Pic Heavy Author: Harry, Location: StaffordPosted: Thu Jul 05, 2012 4:26 am ---- Thanks lads, aye I would be scared cornering in 165s to be honest
#90: Re: Harry's XSI - Pic Heavy Author: rttam, Location: devonPosted: Thu Jul 05, 2012 6:39 am ---- looks absolutely bang on mate wheels suit that car pefectly
