crunching noise

car.. well pretty sure its my brakes makes a crunching sort of noise when i start to break fairly heavy ..

i think its possibly just the brake pads being worn down?!

if it is .. are they expensive to replace?

Brake pads are cheap enough to replace, I changed discs & pads all round last year on the 180 for £100.

No labour charge as myself and a mate did it while prepping the car for FCS! Very Happy

Is it a crunching noise or grinding?

Kind of crunching and grindIng if I'm honest. I first thought when I pulled up on a keen that the bottom was scraping on the floor. But when I got out and checked it wasn't that

easy to check if the pad has wear out anyway, unless you got steelies... Laughing

Just got it checked. Its the discs an the pads. He said the disc were scored. Costing me £110. That's including labour and vat Smile
