to be truthfull i think with thouttle on 180 it will go above 210bhp with cat cams and ecu and that
last week mine was hitting 195.5bhp on dyno with out thouttles bodys and ecu?? jamie so i would think it be over but you never know.
#152: Re: Jamie: GTi180 Author: Jamie, Location: Ring y0Posted: Sat Mar 06, 2010 4:42 pm ---- I'm not really bothered what it hits to be honest, I'm not "aiming" for a target, I'm more excited for how it's gonna sound
#153: Re: Jamie: GTi180 Author: Jamie, Location: Ring y0Posted: Sat Mar 06, 2010 6:43 pm ---- 1st page updated so pictures work!
#154: Re: Jamie: GTi180 Author: =ZiAn=, Location: SloveniaPosted: Sun Mar 07, 2010 4:44 am ---- Jaime, I've got a question about the s60 ecu As it's a standalone do you know what functions will you loose (e.g. consumption, outside temperature, climate control)?
#155: Re: Jamie: GTi180 Author: Jamie, Location: Ring y0Posted: Sun Mar 07, 2010 8:45 am ---- I have no idea
All things I'm willing to lose though, especially as my scangauge tells me all of these things, except outside temp...
#156: Re: Jamie: GTi180 Author: Jamie, Location: Ring y0Posted: Fri Mar 12, 2010 7:41 am ---- I can confirm that the Baker BM mounts will fit the 206. You need to order the RHS/Top mount and the lower 70mm bush. This comes to around £55. Hope this helps.
#157: Re: Jamie: GTi180 Author: Jamie, Location: Ring y0Posted: Sat Mar 13, 2010 3:47 pm ---- Finally got my IDA X305 working properly, including the stalk!
That is all.

Without any throttle bodies and a ecu? bloody hell surprised it run let alone gave 195.5bhp.
Nice to see you've progressed from the days we used to talk, and nice to see you steered away from the s***ty GAZ.
#159: Re: Jamie: GTi180 Author: Jamie, Location: Ring y0Posted: Sun Mar 14, 2010 4:46 pm ---- Got a few people to ring tomorow;
Wilwood
Compbrake
Hi Spec
Think Wilwood are the best bang for buck, but I definitely want something that doesn't require spacers...
Other than that nothing really to report, apart from investigating some Grp N topmounts, and seeing what luck Kyle had with his exhaust vernier pulley!

Interesting comment... one of the finest suspension gurus from Leda suspension now designs for Gaz. Leda was the choice of champions on track in its day. Dave now has proved that Gaz make some of the finest quality components in motorsport......
#161: Re: Jamie: GTi180 Author: EdCherry, Location: WiltshirePosted: Sun Mar 14, 2010 5:16 pm ---- Gaz some of the finest dampers in motorsport? not really.
Penske
Bilstien
AST
Ohlin
Much better choices by miles
#162: Re: Jamie: GTi180 Author: macj, Location: EssexPosted: Sun Mar 14, 2010 5:18 pm ---- Where is Leda in your list????
#163: Re: Jamie: GTi180 Author: EdCherry, Location: WiltshirePosted: Sun Mar 14, 2010 5:45 pm ---- On par with Koni I guess, good but dont just quite cut the mustard.
#164: Re: Jamie: GTi180 Author: Seb, Location: Under your bedPosted: Mon Mar 15, 2010 3:43 am ---- Only reason people would buy Gaz in my eyes for the vx220 is if they either can't afford the Nitrons, or they want a middle house between full road, or full track use. And the Gaz are really the only ones around for that.
#165: Re: Jamie: GTi180 Author: sugref, Location: PerthshirePosted: Mon Mar 15, 2010 6:25 am ---- Jamie, your project looks great. Are you keeping the VVT? If so how do you intend to deal with the main head oil drains that come out via the standard manifold?
