#1: Car completely cutting out while driving Author: Antknee, Location: ManchesterPosted: Sun Apr 17, 2011 6:43 am ---- My mates 1.1 preplexed sometimes cuts out while driving, even on teh motorway etc which youll agree is dangerous! I have had a quick look at it but i dont really know what to look for! any help would be much appreciated!

The steering wont lock unless the ignition key is removed from the barrel.
All that is happening is you are loosing the power assistance to the steering

Or does the rev counter still show the correct engine speed?

it doesnt have one its the most basic 206 i've ever seen!

he has no choice so he's avoiding busy roads and motorways for the time being

Has the fuel filter ever been changed?

Its still 4 years old.
The cutting out problem was fixed by Peugeot before they built your car.
