very easly tuned engines due to the restrictions in the induction and exhaust
i still fancy the 180 being faster when they have both had the same sort of mods

i just cant justify spending any decent amount of money on cleaning products for my wheels when there in s**t state
once i have some new wheels and get these refurbed then i will be looking after them more
#19: Re: my new car, feedback welcome Author: M60SHW, Location: CarlislePosted: Sun Apr 17, 2011 3:04 pm ---- humm i dunno like with most 180 running 160 ish with a k&n and exhaust i think it would be very very close both way the same only thing you have is vvt on your side
im quite interested now will have to find someone with similer mods (when i get mine on haha) nd al promise to put the results on good or bad haha
#20: Re: my new car, feedback welcome Author: drunknmunky, Location: Blackburn and CatterickPosted: Sun Apr 17, 2011 3:09 pm ---- more than likely it would come down to driver skills more than anything as the 0-60 times are probably milliseconds apart but i would like to think i would be beating ST's all the time and i only have a pipercross and janspeed exhaust oh and lowered
#21: Re: my new car, feedback welcome Author: meady, Location: basingstokePosted: Sun Apr 17, 2011 3:11 pm ---- i thought the st's were only running 147bhp, thts what a mate of mine told me and he has one :s
#22: Re: my new car, feedback welcome Author: M60SHW, Location: CarlislePosted: Sun Apr 17, 2011 3:12 pm ---- yea al be honest alot of people with st's around my bit are sooper dooper chavy scum, so trying to find a decent driver might be hard haha
#23: Re: my new car, feedback welcome Author: deadmanj, Location: leedsPosted: Sun Apr 17, 2011 3:13 pm ---- i put the powerflow exhaust on and k&n pannel filter thats it til i save up for my cosworth cams and manifold.

They are but an exhaust and induction can open them up to 175bhp or so i read?
But it still puts them 0.25 seconds behind the 180 on 0-60 so no need to worry, and i would like to think that with my induction and exhaust i have opened up a bit more bhp maybe not as much as that but still some

fair play to you hopefully you get some good gains would be good to see it once its had those upgrades and see if it keeps with the 180 if we are ever on a track together or on a strip

save up for the k&n induction ....
This is taken from a thread on www.fiestastoc.com with more information on filters:
They looked at the BHP and torque gains and also the Air Charge Temperature (ACT), apparently for every 1 degree c increase, your car can lose between 0.5 - 1 BHP!
Test 5 - Green Induction Kit SS-015
BHP Gain: 10.42 bhp
Torque Gain: 6.55 lbf.ft
Lowest ACTs: 24 degrees c
Score: 7/10
Test 6 - Simota CB-416 (This is an enclosed induction kit, like the viper)
BHP Gain: 8.73 bhp
Torque Gain: 6.95 lbf.ft
Lowest ACTs: 19.2 degrees c
Score: 6/10
