New Pug coming soon
-> 206 Problems

#1: New Pug coming soon Author: V9977, Location: Athens, Greece PostPosted: Tue Apr 19, 2011 7:21 pm

Ok, my better half has decided to join us with a 2007 1.4i 5-door 206.
It has 44000Km (27340 miles) on the clock and is moonstone colour.
She will be joining the forum soon. (hilly I'm watching you mate.)

So now I'm going through all the issues and some help would be appreciated.
I'll try and keep everything on this thread and take it one by one.

1) What is the list of good/poor/bad voltages for the battery?

2) Starter motor engagement cog seems to stick sometimes making a
brief growl noise. Car has not been used for 4 months, could this sort itself
out you think? I had the same thing when I got mine and it went away when I put in a fresh battery.

3) When pressing accelerator pedal from idle revs (no load) there is a brief hesitation and then
a slight over-rev (tiny brief peak of power) as if it suddenly catches-on.

Otherwise its in mint condition and I'm very jealous..
Cheers.

Cheers Dave.

I'm getting 11.90V with a digital meter. It's a four year old fiam battery (never changed since car was new)
so a Varta blue will go in tommorow. Its multiplexed so I'll have to be polite to the BSi and shut it down etc.

One down, 2 to go.

Wikipedia: From April 2010,the Peugeot 206 was no longer listed on Peugeot's current UK model range. That is implying that RHD production has ended. Production for LHD markets finished in June 2010

UK production ended in 2006

No ICV on this one. And no throtle cable/butterfly/potentiometer either.

It has a totaly different motorised throtle body. Pug part #1635.R8
and accelerator pedal #1601.T1
