I'm thinking about getting a shark fin but iv heard that they have s**t signal but iv also heard you can get some with amplifiers on to boost the signal...... Am I correct or not?

The same goes with the likes of the stubby aerials too though, along with the bee stings.
The shorter the aerial the weaker the signal to your radio will be anyway unfortunatly.
You're correct in thinking they do boosters though I cant remember how much they are but they are around, can be found on ebay

On the other hand my 207 has awesome signal with it on
Stubby arials from citroen are under a £10 and tht including v.a.t
