could do with a little help with switching them over, do I just jack the rear up and undo the bolts and switch them over, will I have to have both sides jacked up simultaneously?

jack up one side and change the damper, when it's done do another side.
2 bolts and nuts per damper, make sure you don't over tighten it.

so I just jack it up in the standard place asif I were changing a wheel
does that mean I'll have to support the axle to take the weight off it to get it off, dya think I'd be able to do that manually ie. is it heavy?
#4: Re: how to change rear shocks Author: Uz, Location: No Man's LandPosted: Fri Apr 22, 2011 2:31 pm ---- Jack the car up, take the wheel off and then take a small jack and jack the trailing arm, placing the jack under the drum, up to make taking the damper off alot easier. once jacked up just pop the damper out and just fit the new one in in reverse to how you've taken it out.
