managed to get my hands on some jamex uprated shocks for only 40 quid, which I was quite chuffed about

could do with a little help with switching them over, do I just jack the rear up and undo the bolts and switch them over, will I have to have both sides jacked up simultaneously?

nope, you can do it one by one.

jack up one side and change the damper, when it's done do another side.

2 bolts and nuts per damper, make sure you don't over tighten it.

thank you,

so I just jack it up in the standard place asif I were changing a wheel

does that mean I'll have to support the axle to take the weight off it to get it off, dya think I'd be able to do that manually ie. is it heavy?

Jack the car up, take the wheel off and then take a small jack and jack the trailing arm, placing the jack under the drum, up to make taking the damper off alot easier. once jacked up just pop the damper out and just fit the new one in in reverse to how you've taken it out.

might be a bit hard to put the damper back as normally you will have to compress it a bit; so it depends on how hard it the damper.

mine was a d*** to do

ahh yeah I follow, so if I jack it up more/less once I've taken the original dampner off so it lines up with the new dampner?

Just measure the nuts and bolts you already have on the car.
