now and then when i put the right indicator on the stalk doesnt click in to place and goes off again and when it does stay on when i go round a bend it switches to the left indicator . is there any way of sorting this as it gets rather annoying

I had mine changed last week because the indicator stalk was so loose it was dangerous, going round a roundabout was lethal.
Gonna cost you in the region of about £150 for a new one mate :/

There are many variants for these units, for my car there were 6 different types so if your going second hand make sure you get the one which is identical to yours Razz

You'll get one second hand for about £15-20. I needed a GTi one when I did the conversion to crystals and got it from here.

Dont bother with 2nd hand com 2000 units.

Either get a new one or go for a service / exchange unit Wink

Drivers airbag & steering wheel to be removed to change it.
