#1: is my comm 2000 unit on its way out?????? If its multiplex then it will be the comms unit. The same thing happened to mine. I just delt with it until i thought it was dangerous and bought another one. Took 10 mins to change.

Drivers airbag & steering wheel have to be removed to replace it.

There used to be before all the forum info was lost, cant find it at the moment.
You also need to shut the BSI down correctly & disconnect the battery before you remove the drivers airbag.
