#64: Re: Project 309 GTi Goodwood Author: Dillon, Location: KentPosted: Sun Apr 25, 2010 4:36 pm ---- OMG B. thats a little more than i was expecting you to do to it ! I thought it looked good before it went in. This is going to end up being a labour of love your going to find it hard to get this exactly as you want it now nothing will be too good for it Can't wait to actually see this in the flesh.
#65: Re: Project 309 GTi Goodwood Author: MartyParty, Location: Newcastle Upon TynePosted: Sun Apr 25, 2010 4:37 pm ---- No probs. Cheers G.

You and me both Dill It should make a world of difference getting the whole thing done. I'd be gutted if all the paint didn't QUITE look right or if i could tell what was new compared to the old paint and the scratches on the roof would still be there...blah blah blah! A freshen up will do the job
Marty - you would need to weld in new brackets under the carpet, however if the rails are wider than the standard 206 ones you might struggle, if they're narrower it would be a little bit easier.
These interiors are not easy to come by. Expect to pay circa £350 for a full set in half decent condition. Even still you'd only be able to fit the 2 front seats if any at all. The doorcards, and rear seats are a no go.

A better one of the door.
Bonnet all primed.
Spoiler - quite smart pictures i thought lol.
and the grille. This is looking great - it was covered in stone chips as you could imagine.
So...I'll be the one driving down to Pugfest/FCS with clingfilm and bubble wrap on the car

#69: Re: Project 309 GTi Goodwood Author: Brian, Location: VVT Land, FifePosted: Mon Apr 26, 2010 12:46 pm ---- Cheers Mikey! Yeah she's going to FCS, I think i'll get it back next week some time at this rate!
#70: Re: Project 309 GTi Goodwood Author: Brian, Location: VVT Land, FifePosted: Wed May 05, 2010 4:14 pm ---- She's back from Ecosse and looking pretty shexy! The chrome side trim i did has been fitted and the front bumper trims have also been fitted. I just need to get the rear ones now pronto as they are really standing out with the rest looking pretty fresh. I just need to sort the front and rear bumpers as they've lost their shine. They were going to do them but i said no...i'll use my own gid stuff and build it up. I'm going to be giving the bumpers/trim a good clean anyway so it wasn't worth while them doing the job as i'd just be removing whatever product they put on!
Here it goes...
First and foremost, the dent in the door is well and truely GONE.
Zoomed along the side of the car a bit...
and zoomed out more
Spoiler's not scratched to bits any more
Roof isn't scratched to bits any more
Some of the trim

#72: Re: Project 309 GTi Goodwood Author: Brian, Location: VVT Land, FifePosted: Wed May 05, 2010 4:58 pm ---- Cheers dude The blue one will get a paint job like that...one day! This is in a higher class of mintness in comparison.
