#1: GTI Low power after oil pressure issue Author: rangemonkey, Location: LondonPosted: Sat Apr 30, 2011 3:34 pm ---- Driving along yesterday both my Low oil pressure & low brake fluid warning lights came on, along with the STOP warning light. When I pulled over I discovered that the oil was very low & topped it up. All of the warning lights disappeared when i topped the oil back up to the correct level.
However upon restarting the car the accelerator pedal has very little travel & the engine will not rev past 3000 rpm. Is this the ECU in some sort of 'Safe' mode to protect the engine? or something else?
If it is the ECU in safe mode is there a way to reset this?

Thanks, yep the clip had disappeared so with the cable re-adjusted the car is running fine again.
