#6: Re: Would this induction kit fit my car? Author: Bigbenj_08, Location: CardiffPosted: Fri May 06, 2011 12:48 am ---- depends.... I had one simiar and the fitment was s**te.
The scoop thing sits flush against the bonnet and the gap was right over the radiator so would be sucking in hot air.
I couldn't figure out how to get it to fit properly!
#7: Re: Would this induction kit fit my car? Author: bashyy1, Location: Milton KeynesPosted: Fri May 06, 2011 12:54 am ---- Its supposed to be fit behind the grill i think.
#8: Re: Would this induction kit fit my car? Author: bashyy1, Location: Milton KeynesPosted: Fri May 06, 2011 12:55 am ---- I'd recommend K&N though.

what one?
#10: Re: Would this induction kit fit my car? Author: Lewis, Location: Isle Of WightPosted: Fri May 06, 2011 3:53 am ---- You probably have an 8v engine and the air intake is in a different place than the 16v engine so this will probably not fit! it will be the wrong shape...
#11: Re: Would this induction kit fit my car? Author: acotton21, Location: NottsPosted: Fri May 06, 2011 3:54 am ---- Would would you recomend i get?
#12: Re: Would this induction kit fit my car? Author: Andrew, Location: Black Country Ay IPosted: Fri May 06, 2011 5:40 am ---- A green cotton panel filter in your standard box, avoid that one as it appears to be shorter so it would be drawing in hot air from the rocker as well as the radiator
Peugeot did a good job on the standard box, thats why they mass produced it

#14: Re: Would this induction kit fit my car? Author: luwegi, Location: PlymouthPosted: Fri May 06, 2011 7:00 am ---- K and N website
#15: Re: Would this induction kit fit my car? Author: Davels, Location: NorfolkPosted: Fri May 06, 2011 7:13 am ---- The K&N website will have the K&N panel filter.
Green cotton panel filters although green in colour, they are also made by the company "Green" and are available online. Quick google search should return a list of UK stockist where you can select your model and engine.
K&N are cheaper and good quality with lifetime warrenty. Green are more expensive and are generally used in turbo cars with sensitve MAF sensors, particularly SEATS. The reason being K&N's cotton is oiled more and this can foul the sensor. No such problem on pugs or not that I have heard anyway.
K&N will be fine for your car. You won't have any real change in induction noise from the engine but you may see as much 2-3bhp increase on a good day rather than loose power like most induction kits due to hot air being drawn in from the engine bay.
If you want the noise go for the full induction kit and cone, but you may a bit of oomp during the summer months.
And of course declare everything
#16: Re: Would this induction kit fit my car? Author: acotton21, Location: NottsPosted: Fri May 06, 2011 7:16 am ---- K&N filter
Is this one good then?
#17: Re: Would this induction kit fit my car? Author: Davels, Location: NorfolkPosted: Fri May 06, 2011 7:26 am ---- yeah thats the one, just get the right one for your car.
K&N are a big realible firm that have been making filters for years.
As said before the box is designed for mass production and for the most practical and relaible means of delivering air without debris or water being sucked at the same time. (water a particular risk with a cone) That said check for any flaps or anything in the box it self or the air ducting and remove so there is a smooth air path. Then pop your filter in and bob's your aunty.
The box itself it actually insulated well too so you will be sucking in cool air without the engine heating it up. (Cold air burns better than hot air as it has higher o2 content) Last edited by Davels on Fri May 06, 2011 7:37 am; edited 1 time in total

Thanks for all your help
#19: Re: Would this induction kit fit my car? Author: Andrew, Location: Black Country Ay IPosted: Fri May 06, 2011 2:09 pm ---- Yes thats the right one
Glad you made the choice to stay with the standard box, I always think if open cones and these ram air filters were better they would come as standard
#20: Re: Would this induction kit fit my car? Author: Davels, Location: NorfolkPosted: Sat May 07, 2011 2:42 am ---- Yeah, sorry for the lack of reply, ebay links are blocked at work and my phone was dead, that's the right one tho by the looks of it as said above.
If you have a good flow of air routed through you can see some gains from an open cone but for normal road use and traffic the air around the cone will be hot as hell.
tracks use with constant movement and cool air flow = no heat soak.
