#1: Help 180 owners only Author: drunknmunky, Location: Blackburn and CatterickPosted: Sat May 07, 2011 11:38 am ---- i know this is a long shot and you may not be able to do it for me but anyone that can i would be forever owing you
basically if someone can do it i would like them to get behind there passenger side wheel and look for a metal thing with an electrical connection thats part of the induction system or connected to the induction box thats there, as far as i know this is only on the 180's, once you have got the bit im talking about if you could i wouldnt mind you unplugging it and running a multimeter across the connection there and telling me the resistance and power.
This is what caused my EML to go on so may cause yours to come on when you unplug it but once plugged back in i guess it would go back off
or if anyone could hazard a good guess at what resistor i should use to put on the end of the wire that gives it a false reading that the part is there and working, so my EML goes off and before anyone says anything it is %100 this that is causing it!
thanks in advance

#3: Re: Help 180 owners only Author: Lee, Location: EnglandPosted: Sat May 07, 2011 11:55 am ---- I don't know if the sensor he's talking about runs at 4.99/5volts like normal ones, and don't know the amps or watts so I can't work it out.
Basing it on 5volts and 2.4amps like what the MAF sensor runs at, it would be 2.08ohms

i have asked lee but i dont think he knows although i didnt know what part it was to tell him
