#1: Running Rough Author: gazza420, Location: Tyne and WearPosted: Sun May 08, 2011 8:50 am ---- Hi all
hope someone can help me out here, been on a 300 mile round trip with out a problem, until I got to about 1/4 mile from home.
Going round a roundabout the car started to miss and splutter but didn't cut out.
Car starts but sounds like its running on 3 cylinders ??
Car runs a bit better (still missing tho, not as bad) if I take the breather pipe off the top of the rocker cover.
No warning lights on dash
Checked the air filter- clean ok
By the way its a 1.1 petrol 52 reg.
Many Thanks Gazza Last edited by gazza420 on Sun May 08, 2011 8:58 am; edited 1 time in total

Just a thought, if it was a Fault with the Coil pack, would the EML come on and would it produce a fault code even tho there's no EML on
Thanks Gazza

#12: Re: Running Rough Author: gazza420, Location: Tyne and WearPosted: Mon May 09, 2011 11:57 am ---- Hi all
thanx for the replies all sorted now,
Changed the plugs-still the same, so replaced the coil pack which done the trick.
After removing the old coil pack I noticed that one of the contacts was a slight copper colour where the other three were silver, maybe something for the next person with the same problem to look out for.
Thanks Gazza
