anyone know how to remove the knobs from the heater control panel?

if there is a knack to it then I don't have it - I have removed the panel completely and am working from the back - I've pushed, pulled, prodded, jammed screwdrivers in here and there but no luck

ive got a fascia to put over the controls but it needs to be glued so i wanna take the knobs off so it dont crease.

do they not twist off like a nut or something? jsut a guess Razz would have thought they either pulled off or screwed off but i dont know Razz
