#3: Re: help required Author: Abzynthe, Posted: Tue May 17, 2011 2:25 am ---- Sounds like a write off to me.
Would most likely be cheaper to get a new car than repair this one.
#4: Re: help required Author: Danny., Location: PeterboroughPosted: Tue May 17, 2011 2:29 am ---- Airbags going off are never good.
If you tell the insurance comapny, pretty sure they will write it off.
Whos fault was it?

#6: Re: help required Author: BigGreenDave, Location: The RiftPosted: Tue May 17, 2011 2:38 am ---- The airbags and dash will cost you £600 each and £40 for dash plate. And you will need to get a new airbag sensor cause new airbags won't be recognised by another airbag sensor.
I crashed mine and blew air con along with air bags they wanted £1000+ for aircon and £1200+ for airbags it will have probely bent some part of the support so re jig your looking £100 at least and no doubt you will need a new support beam costing around £80
Not cheap If But your lucky you got rear smash shouldn't cost too much part from airbags
#7: Re: help required Author: posi_gti, Location: swadlincotePosted: Tue May 17, 2011 2:39 am ---- it was only my brother in the accident, he hit a roundabout so no other cars involved. yeah i said the insurance would write it off, but hes determined to get it all sorted.
#8: Re: help required Author: MrrNoName, Location: UKPosted: Tue May 17, 2011 3:50 am ---- if the actual frames bent your screwed other then that look at scrappys etc
#9: Re: help required Author: Seabook, Posted: Tue May 17, 2011 12:35 pm ---- buy another gti, cost well less than fixing yours.
unless you can fix it yourself. airbag could get a second hand one.
but the rear 1/4 panel and boot will have to cut off and weld a new one on. <--not cheap.
