Running on 3 cylinders
-> 206 Problems

#1: Running on 3 cylinders Author: imjeeves, Location: Glasgow / Welling PostPosted: Tue May 17, 2011 12:59 pm

Just fitted my new engine after the last one let go when an oil pipe came off.

Took it testing on Sunday but it seems to be running on 3 cylinders. At tickover there is no problem sounds ok.

With a light throttle the engine missfires but as soon as a reasonable throttle is applied it clears.

The car still feels fast as it used to but the missfire is annoying. Any ideas on what it could be?

I had this...... its usually an imbalance across the T/B`s. You can check them and try mapping out the fuelling again
