working round the "to do list" on the 206 and i thought id post this up here as ive not looked into it yet.
my middle display on the dash doesnt illuminate at all, ive currently got no headunit in but didnt think that matters??
the dash lights are a bit pants aswel, anyone got any upgrades for this??
its a 2000 gti by the way.

will flick it out and strip it down to see if there is a loose solder connection other than that ill have to do somthing with the spaceits going to leave lol
ive adjusted the dimmer switch both ways and the brightness only seems to get worse so assume some lamps may be out.... will have a look when ive done the mechanical stuff.

took it to bits over the weekend as i also changed my dials (see other problem topic)
no loose connections at all, put back in and the display is working but there doesnt seem to be any back light to the display, the lamps dont illuminte evn when the side lights are on....
is this the normal way for these to die or is there anything else i can do??
