#1: phase II washer jets Author: omricn, Location: israel PostPosted: Wed May 18, 2011 7:45 am
    ----
Hey everyone,
Yesterday i finally got my brand new phase2 washer jets, fitted them, but i'm not as pleased as i expected to be..
the right washer jet sprayes a little higher than it should (or is this how it's supposed to be?) and reaches to the back window..
The left one will not spray at the first pull of the handle, but will start to spray on the second and the third, basically it will have a good range of spray but it seems like it's not getting enough water pressure.. When i fitted them i blew some air in the little hoses (because this behavior was happening also before replacing to the phase2 ones) but this didnt seem to help.
is there anything i should check? or are these just signs of old age of hoses\water pump?

TNX Smile

blew air into the water pipes or blew air through the jets with the pipes disconnected?

also dunno about the one aiming high as im not sure if you can alter them.
maybe it's going high cause its getting the water flow from the other jet? i dunno :L

I blew air through the pipes with the washers diconnected (washer jets are brand new - not a washer jets issue), but i didn't think about your little guess there.. looks like the right washer is "stealing" pressure from the left one....... I'll go ahead and investigate further, i hope the problem lies with the part of the pipe that's between the two washers and not the part from the pump to the jets...
thanks for the brainstorm Smile

Can you not put a pin in the end and adjust the angle it sprays at?

You can on phase 1 but not on phase 2.

Sounds like a slight blockage between the right-hand jet and the connecting tube to the left one,
OR faulty left-hand squirter causing too much pressure to go to the right one.

can you pick these up from peugeot dealers if you just turn up or do they need to be ordered?

I believe your first guess makes more sense, i mentioned this was happening also with the phase1 jets, so - not a jets issue, I'll check the connecting pipe between the two jets. thanks Smile

If you're refering to the phase2 washer jets - you cant just pop in and ask for them, in our dealership they were overpriced so i just ebayed them, total was about 13 quid.

Depends if the dealer has any sitting on the shelf, every dealer is different with stock items depending on how many they sell & what storage space they have.

Ring the parts dept up with the part number & ask if they have any in stock.

im sure you can adjust them... one of mine got blocked, stuck a pin in it and it did nothing. held them on for a while until the blockage cleared and the aim was over the roof.

Realigned it with a needle.

You must be referring to the phase1 washer jets, because the phase2 ones are not adjustable..
still haven't had time to check the pipes though...

bumping just in case someone could find this handy, I hate threads that end with nothingness..
So all I needed to do was check the pipe itself, it was folded a couple of inches near the point of connection to the washer so I simply cut it behind the folding point and reconnected to the washer. Smile
