White Marks on Engine Cover

Ok well a bit strange this.

I have a HDi and everytime i look under the bonnet the engine cover has white marks on it and it seems to be coming from the expansion bottle.

Is this a case of changing the lid? or has it been overfilled?

Cheers

Hmm..
The car never goes past 90c even when flooring it..
It always sits at 80 when doing a constant speed so i don't think its overheating and bubbling.

Check the engine cover isnt loose.

A new coolant expansion bottle cap is cheap enough anyway.
