#1: I am going to push my car off a cliff!!!!!! Author: alanamh, Posted: Fri May 20, 2011 1:21 pm ---- I AM SICK TO THE BACK BLOODY TEETH!!!!
Tracking keeps going out.
IN January my steering wheel was shaking badly, took to local garage, needed 2 new front tyres as they were mis shaped. (they had been on about 5 years) this solved the shaky steering wheel, all was fine...UNTIL about a week later when tracking when out, took back to garage who said the tyres take a while to settle so re traced for free and ever since then it's been a nightmare.
The tracking keeps bloody going out!!!!
IN march the garage changed my steering rack end as said there was slight play on it - all was fine again until about a week after when the problem started again.
I must of had the tracking done 15 times since January and the wheels re balanced god know how many times.
Ive been to 3 garages and none seem to know what it is. I need my car for my job and need it to be reliable but to tell you the truth I don't feel safe in it at the moment especially on the motorway at high speeds.
Smeone give me some ideas please

#8: Re: I am going to push my car off a cliff!!!!!! Author: Rob2859, Location: HalifaxPosted: Fri May 20, 2011 1:28 pm ---- alloys could be buckled? Check the wishbone bushes for splits etc. Possibly top mounts?
#9: Re: I am going to push my car off a cliff!!!!!! Author: alanamh, Posted: Fri May 20, 2011 1:33 pm ---- Alloys are new only got them last week - kinda hoping they would solve problem but haven't the garages have all said they have checked everything and found nothing.
i am going to take it peugeot in monday (having to take time off work!) and ask them, I will suggest the wishbone and track rod to them. I didnt want to go there as i know they aren't cheap but if they can get it fixed then its worth the extra i suppose

You need to find out exactly whats wrong with it before you replace any parts.
Just throwing new parts at a car in the hope of fixing a problem just ends up with a large dent in your wallet.

If a Peugeot main dealer was fitting them then yes due to there labour charges for fitting.
