#1: remove multiplexed steering wheel and others Author: rudymason, Location: walesPosted: Sat May 21, 2011 2:51 am ---- Basically i have a few queeries and am struggling to find any info so thought id post a thread to get peoples know how !!
Im wondering firstly how to remove the steering wheel
-how to update a non fog light bumper to a front bumper with fogs?
(basically wondering if installing a new com2000 would sort this out or if a bsi update or anything would be needed, and whilst it sounds like i sort of know what these terms mean i have no idea whatsoever lmao!!
and lastly how to remove the rear bumper strip on its own as tried last week and nearly pulled my rear wings off lol
so yeh thanks for any help!

BSI configuration set up adjustment.
You need to change the BM34 fusebox under the bonnet for one that is front fog light enabled / has the fuse holder.
You might find the front fog light wiring already there, look behind each front head light for a 2 pin grey connector plug tucked away not connected to anything.
You DONT need to change the com2000 unit to get front fogs working.

You need Peugeot Planet software to tweak the BSI unit.
Lee on here had Planet, only issue is he is far away from you.
As for the fogs.
First twist on the stalk switch would activate the fronts, a second twist would then activate the rear.
The stalk is just a switch, all it does is send a digital signal to the BSI unit which is the cars computer brain in overall charge of the electrical systems.
The BSI unit will then turn on the fog lights as requested.

Keep your eye on Ebay, the genuine Peugeot front fog light kits turn up from time to time.
Front fogs are easy to wire in.
Its if you want to use the original stalk switch that it gets a bit harder.

No
Your front fogs would only come on when you twist the foglamp switch.
You do need sidelights or dipped beam on first before you can activate the fog lights.

You use the ORIGINAL fog lamp switch thats already fitted to your stalk.

The twisty thing in the middle of the headlamp stalk
The one right on the end does the headlights.
The other one just a bit further in is for the foglights.
