#1: Dashboard to Onboard computer fault Author: MILLWALLDAVE, Location: BLACKBURN WEST LOTHIAN SCOTLAND PostPosted: Sun May 29, 2011 8:35 am

HI EVERYONE
this is my first post,i have a peugeot 206, 2003 entice
my problem is that over the last week when i first start car that day i drive for maybe 3 to 10 min then the engine diagnostic light comes on and the car loses all power.
then after maybe up to 10 min it starts again and I have no more problems for the rest of the day.
then next day same again, two days ago the car just wouldn't start at all, then yesterday it started ok and went fine, ive just took it for a diagnostic and been told there's a fault between the dashboard and on board computer.
has anyone any idea how much this will roughly cost to fix?
the last 3weeks ive had broken clutch, bulged tyre, and needed tracking fixed Mad I only bought the car 3 month ago after passing test for 2400 it only came with 1 month warranty,
I bought a years extended warranty but that only covers broken parts not wear and tare.
any help is appreciated

I think your caps lock key is broken, but I've fixed your title for you.

Welcome, by the way.

Where did you take it for the diagnostic check?

What were the faults that they told you?

There is no dashboard ecu in the 206, just the BSI which controls the onboard electronics.

i only got a one month warranty the years one i bought is for parts and only wear and tare, the part needs to have broken even then i only get up to 250 for whatever part it is,and most parts tend to be wear and tare so probably wasted 120 pounds on warranty, and as for what fault i was just told its a fault from dashboard to computer that i would need to go to an auto electrician as they couldnt do anything with it..
