#1: Misfiring Author: Lewis1592, Location: Aberdeen, ScotlandPosted: Mon May 30, 2011 6:51 pm ---- Just had new coil pack and sparks because of a misfire problem when engine was under load. Now its doin it again only 180 miles later. Only 10 days ago :L
Any suggestions? Possible electrical problem leading to the coil pack?
Help would be appreciated.
P.s. If it's the same parts that are broken, reckon I can get it under warranty from mechanics?
#2: Re: Misfiring Author: Seabook, Posted: Mon May 30, 2011 6:55 pm ---- what plug and what coil pack are you using?
have you check the injectors as well? number 4 is usually the first one to break. fault injector will cause misfiring too.
have you read the fault code too?
#3: Re: Misfiring Author: Lewis1592, Location: Aberdeen, ScotlandPosted: Mon May 30, 2011 6:57 pm ---- All Bosch as I was told, I asked for the Bosch sparksa and they returned the old coil in a Bosch box. So I reckon that's what's on.
How do I check injectors?
I havnt read fault codes but I suppose the garage could.
I'm taking it to them later in the morning, just want some things to expect. Already forked 180 on the last bill

Had new coil pack and plugs two weeks later were knackered again fount out my head gasket went. Said the gasket went and was leaking fluid (oil maybe cant remember) in/onto plugs and coil pack causing the misfire. If your car starts seriously overheating its probably goin the same way as mine did.

good luck

Just misfiring when car is under load, like uphill. And no heating problems. Sorry to hear about the head gasket!
