#1: Unusual rattle. Author: scottsgti, Location: ramsgatePosted: Fri Jun 03, 2011 10:34 am ---- When ever I start up my car there is a weird rattle kind of noise for literally 1-2 seconds, then is goes. It's only started doing it this week.. that I've noticed anyway.
Only way I can describe it really is as a rusty sounding rattle if that makes sense?
Also, another sound that's bugging me is a tapping/rattling sound as it's on tick over, and gets faster as I rev. It's not loud or anything jus want to know if anyone else has had it and knows what can potentially get rid of it.
God I hate unusual noises! Lol.
Thanks guys.

#4: Re: Unusual rattle. Author: scottsgti, Location: ramsgatePosted: Fri Jun 03, 2011 10:42 am ---- Manifold is a possibility as it was making a rattle a while back before I got it welded. However, it was a completely different rattle.
Besides the mani, is there anything else it could be?

#6: Re: Unusual rattle. Author: scottsgti, Location: ramsgatePosted: Fri Jun 03, 2011 11:05 am ---- it sounds like it's coming from the front of the car. besides, its a new mid silencer on there anyway as it come with a new cat and mid box.
could it be tappets or anything? saw another post just a sec ago about tappets needing changing.
