#20: Re: Changing lower arms Author: furryhobnob, Location: NuneatonPosted: Thu Jun 09, 2011 2:41 pm ---- I don't know I still like the missus when she crumpled her nose up at me lol
#21: Re: Changing lower arms Author: Seabook, Posted: Thu Jun 09, 2011 2:42 pm ---- i don't know what engine are have you got but you can always use the wishbone from lower end 206 like 1.1 and 1.4
they are cheaper compare to those "sport" version
#22: Re: Changing lower arms Author: furryhobnob, Location: NuneatonPosted: Thu Jun 09, 2011 2:43 pm ---- Mines a gti so it's a 2.0 litre
#23: Re: Changing lower arms Author: Rob2859, Location: HalifaxPosted: Thu Jun 09, 2011 4:02 pm ---- Don't put the lower spec ones on! They have rubber bushes and they are crap. I just bought a new pair but deliberately got the Gti ones with the stronger bushes as I will be lowering soon. I paid £100 for both, they are not pug ones but very good quality. However I bought them from a trade only motor-factors with a card I borrowed.
Oh and btw wishbones are lower arms. Lower arms/steering arms are a more basic version. Same job but wishbones make the car handle better.
#24: Re: Changing lower arms Author: furryhobnob, Location: NuneatonPosted: Thu Jun 09, 2011 4:05 pm ---- Cheers rob
#25: Re: Changing lower arms Author: Rob2859, Location: HalifaxPosted: Thu Jun 09, 2011 4:12 pm ---- no worries. I made the mistake of buying cheap wishbones off ebay and they have lasted about 6 months.
#26: Re: Changing lower arms Author: furryhobnob, Location: NuneatonPosted: Thu Jun 09, 2011 4:14 pm ---- Yeah I'm not wanting to change them after a few months that's why when it comes to parts Peugeot is my first port of call
#27: Re: Changing lower arms Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Thu Jun 09, 2011 4:24 pm ---- Been 6 years since the wishbones where last changed on my 206, cant moan about the quality of Peugeot parts
Last time I checked prices Peugeot where actually cheaper then Euro car parts
#28: Re: Changing lower arms Author: furryhobnob, Location: NuneatonPosted: Thu Jun 09, 2011 4:27 pm ---- Even cheaper for me lol it's the reason all my cars have been peugeots, I get cheap parts and pay nothing for labour, even my mot's are cheap at £20 at Peugeot! Family rates lol
