Ola ladies n gents,

Just a quick question, does anyone have an issue with there car stalling randomly whilst driving??

Happens normally when i break and change to a lower gear at the same time. Happened today n lost all steering whilst turning left at a junction Crying or Very sad

there's no indication of it stalling just cuts out and have to turn the ignition again Confused

No you didnt, you simply lost the power assistance Rolling Eyes

Steering wont lock unless the ignition key is removed from the barrel.

it just goes really stiff because your having to manually drive it + the pump.

happens to me very occasionally, its annoying as hell lol

no idea, not something to do with the air intake though. must be the ECU or fueling

well for it to cut out, its like there's a lack of power to the car from the battery so maybe something along those lines?

mine does this, revs drop really low when putting the clutch in then sometimes will just stall, bad for when changing for a corner! It's my ICV as i was told to clean it a while ago and it just got worse after that eventually sometimes starting and it idling at 3000rpm!

if its your ICV just change it, it takes less then 5 minutes and you can get one on ebay for about £18 that works fine, problem is that some of us already have changed it (from the stealers! total rip off lol) and the problems exactly the same.

I have the same problem with my 206, cuts out while driving, have gotten quite a few serious frights over it. Spoke to a mechanic yesterday and he said there's a software update available from Peugeot to fix this. Is this correct?

Mines updated ( to december 2007 software ) & had all the fixes done by Peugeot under the original 3 year manufacturers warranty & hasnt cut out since 2005.
