Garages try to sell you a new drive shaft, but you can get it done with a new C/V Joint.
Probably between £80-£120 i would have thought.
i though new shaft was roughly the same price?

It probably is with the labour cost.

#21: Re: ABS + ESP Dashboard Light constantly on Author: Andy180, Location: Stoke on TrentPosted: Tue Jun 14, 2011 6:26 am ---- i drove mine with both the abs and esp lights on including the red stop light flashing for pretty much 4 months and it was ok although obviously its better to get it fixed asap.

Its fine, just dont expect your abs to or esp to work also if you crash you could void your insurance beause its a safety item.
It will only be a real problem when you go for an MOT, it will fail.
#23: Re: ABS + ESP Dashboard Light constantly on Author: JE_180, Location: WiltshirePosted: Tue Jun 14, 2011 6:28 am ---- That's fine. I'll sort it next month when the MOT is due.

I thought that, then it failed because it wasnt the abs ring or sensor.
It ended up being of the road for a month untill they found the actual problem..broken wiring.
#25: Re: ABS + ESP Dashboard Light constantly on Author: JE_180, Location: WiltshirePosted: Tue Jun 14, 2011 6:32 am ---- Well it's going to happen anyway lol, I've spent too much fixing it this month already :/
#26: Re: ABS + ESP Dashboard Light constantly on Author: JE_180, Location: WiltshirePosted: Tue Jun 14, 2011 12:56 pm ---- Update on situation, took it for a spin tonight and the ESP/ABS lights are no longer on...

Have a look at the ABS rings and see which one is cracked, then get some stud lock/thread lock (I forget which one its called) and stick it back together, this should sort it for a few weeks.
