#1: revs drop when driving Author: ian89, Location: north eastPosted: Fri Jun 17, 2011 12:32 pm ---- encounterd another problem when i am driving i can be slowing down in any gear or speeding up and sometimes when i try to accelertae the revs drop and the engine tries to cut out. this also happend when i was idling in traffic the revs started dropping so i pressed the accelerator to keep them up but the car stalled..
any ideas on problems its a 1.4 lx 98

would a leak on the exhaust make the car cut out or the revs drop and rise?

My 206 is exactly the same year and spec as yours. Striped and cleaned the throttle body out and replace the Idle Air Control Valve and been fine since. Hope this helps mate
