Starter motor..... alternator wont prevent it from starting
#22: Re: I've definatly angered the beast! Author: liam180, Location: BuckinghamshirePosted: Mon Jun 20, 2011 11:24 am ---- i'll get this battery a jump n see if that works....
#23: Re: I've definatly angered the beast! Author: macj, Location: EssexPosted: Mon Jun 20, 2011 11:32 am ---- Whip the starter off, and pop into an auto electrician or garage and ask them to load test it for you. Sounds to me like it has been drawing a lot of current and has killed the old battery, if there is a short in it now it would explain the clicking.... solonoid working but motor not turning
#24: Re: I've definatly angered the beast! Author: liam180, Location: BuckinghamshirePosted: Mon Jun 20, 2011 11:41 am ---- Unfortunatly giving me more credit than i deserve, I can't even see the starter let alone take it off mate
#25: Re: I've definatly angered the beast! Author: macj, Location: EssexPosted: Mon Jun 20, 2011 11:44 am ---- point taken...... dont spend any more money till you get it tested though

The alternator should be at the other end of the cable.
The starter motor turns the flywheel, its not gonna be that hard to spot / find.
