#1: Stupid question from a novice? Author: malcolmlowing, Location: Biggin Hill, KentPosted: Sun Jun 19, 2011 2:44 am ---- I have a Peugeot 206 Fever. I don't know what it's called but at the front of the car right at the bottom there is a bit of 'trim' which seems to serve no purpose other then to scape on speed bumps / slopes etc!! This appears to be coming away / hanging down at one end. So can you more knowledgeable guys tell me:
Whats it called?
Does it serve any useful purpose?
How is it fitted / removed?
Thanks in anticipation

Scrapes speed bumps, so your bumper doesn't.
Stapels. Pull them out with pliers if you want to remove it.

It doesn't serve a purpose apart from making the car look a bit lower (on sports cars they act as part of the aerodynamic package)
Most people on here replace them with other makes of splitter, Laguna and Cupra seem to be the most popular. If you decided to take it off completely, it wouldn't make any difference. I think it is just screwed or tacked on.
If you search for splitter, you will see what others have done and may be a how to there too
