#1: 206 gti steering problems Author: bisphenol-a, Location: Antarctica PostPosted: Sun Jun 19, 2011 2:48 am

i was coming out of a parking lot in mall, you know you come out of your lot you turn left/right and head for the exit. while i was turning it felt the usual and for a split moment it went stiff, like it got a little harder to turn (not sure whether the wheel turned less) and in that short while it went back to normal.

i was told the gti has heavy steering to 'feel' more of the road, but in that instant it felt a tad heavier than normal to even be considered OK for normal driving. any clues anyone?

Full lock going slow = stiffer feel.
