#1: what factory H/U does the glx come with? Author: seanbmx, Location: farlington, portsmouthPosted: Sun Jun 19, 2011 10:52 am ---- hi all
i was searching the internet to find out if there was an extra lead i had to buy for the multicoloured plug because the pins where it should plug into are too big for the plug itself. then i thought that maybe the headunit i have isnt the orginal (blaupunkt t1 low).
could someone shed some light on this of me please
many thanks

Changed my GLX RB3 tape deck for the RD3 single shot cd player.
6 discs in the changer & another disc in the headunit
#6: Re: what factory H/U does the glx come with? Author: Matt, Posted: Sun Jun 19, 2011 12:49 pm ---- no tapes???
I have some old tapes from when I was younger I play on occasion.
#7: Re: what factory H/U does the glx come with? Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Mon Jun 20, 2011 2:29 am ---- I dont do tapes anymore, anything I have on tape I now have as mp3 on computer so burning a disc if I want to listen to it in the car isnt an issue.

#10: Re: what factory H/U does the glx come with? Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Tue Jun 21, 2011 11:45 am ---- Its gonna be the non plexed Blaupunkt radio / tape deck.
Originally a GLX would have had a 6 disc cd changer in the boot & that connects to the multicoloured plug behind the radio.
#11: Re: what factory H/U does the glx come with? Author: tomd0801754, Location: MoscowPosted: Tue Jun 21, 2011 11:49 am ---- He would have had a tapedeck up front and CD change in the boot?

Yes, thats standard spec for a GLX be it non plexed or multiplexed.
Radio / tape up front & a 6 disc cd changer in the boot.
#13: Re: what factory H/U does the glx come with? Author: tomd0801754, Location: MoscowPosted: Tue Jun 21, 2011 11:54 am ---- Ahhh fair play.. Thats weird. Why not just have CD up front as well?
#14: Re: what factory H/U does the glx come with? Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Tue Jun 21, 2011 11:57 am ---- No idea, maybe Peugeot wanted to give GLX buyers a choice of formats with tape & cd
Ive changed my RB3 tape to RD3 cd so I now have 6 discs in the back & 1 up front

as you can see in the last photo there the multicoloured plug should go the pins are too big to fit the plug. any ideas?
#16: Re: what factory H/U does the glx come with? Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Fri Jun 24, 2011 7:54 am ---- That is the original factory headunit, the green / yellow / blue plug will fit in either top or bottom socket on the back.
#17: Re: what factory H/U does the glx come with? Author: seanbmx, Location: farlington, portsmouthPosted: Fri Jun 24, 2011 1:07 pm ---- it doesnt fit in either. the only thing i can thnk of is that it isn't the original H/U that can came with the car when it was new

I had a non plexed 206 as a loan car & thats the radio they come with
#21: Re: what factory H/U does the glx come with? Author: richpowell91, Location: Melton Mowbray LeicestershirePosted: Fri Jun 24, 2011 2:03 pm ---- Dont know whether it makes much difference but my 2000 glx came with this radio as standard. I thought that in a glx the radio didnt need a screen due to having the ppt30 display. But cant tell you what the connections are on the back.
#22: Re: what factory H/U does the glx come with? Author: pug206lx, Location: Taking a gearbox off somewherePosted: Fri Jun 24, 2011 2:09 pm ---- I thought the GLX had an MFD... How come that's got a screen in the stereo? surely that's an LX one.
Maybe that's why your plug doesnt fit.
#23: Re: what factory H/U does the glx come with? Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Fri Jun 24, 2011 2:18 pm ---- Multicoloured plug should go in the TOP slot on the back of the radio.
