But today they stopped working altogether, however I soon discovered that when the headlights are turned up all the way on the indicator stalk they seem to work perfectly. What's the problem? Also don't know if it's relevant or not but the bulb in one of the headlights also went today and now after a while you can't open the car with the keyfob you have to put it in the lock and the alarm will sound when u open the door then you can press a button on the keyfob and it will stop, then for a short while the car will respond to the keyfob.

Ah so are the problems interlinked? (minus the headlight bulb) and will simply swapping it out solve the prOblem?

Drivers airbag & the steering wheel have to be removed to change it.
The com2000 unit is the complete indicator / wiper stalk / rotary switch unit behind the steering wheel, its one big lump with lots of connectors on the back & the early ones always go wrong
