Bucket seats problem

#1: Bucket seats problem Author: drew, Location: leicestershire PostPosted: Sun Jun 19, 2011 8:12 pm

basically a bit sick of the horrible green interior in my 1.4.

taken care of the back bench, got one from a gti.
and taken care of the door cards thanks to a very helpful thread in the how to section.

just the front seats left now.

so I managed to pick up some rage bucket seats for 50 quid off of ebay which I was pretty chuffed with (just look like a black version of the ones from a RC interior, nothing too loud and garish and boy racer-y) and after enough waiting around managed to get some 206 subframes for them for 20 quid + p&p but as expected the holes on the metal part on the bottom of the seats don't correspond with the ones on the frames so I'm presuming some welding would be required

just wondered if anyone knew of anyone who could be helpful with this in the leicestershire area/if just any old garage would be able to deal with it/ how much roughly I should be expecting to pay.

I was thinking that but still don't think it'd quite solve the problem, may have to get 2 more bars of metal welded on and then drill through them.
